Returning to work isn’t all bad, when you can spend it amongst nature’s wild things. A Northern Rough-winged Swallow and an Eastern Chipmunk.

I'm back for 1 day. Positive photo day 1894: Sometimes you may get too lucky. This Green #Heron flew off with the #fish in its mouth so I don't know how the story ended. Did it swallow the fish or not? Seen in Van Cortlandt Park this morning. #birds Bronx Bird Alert 🦉Wild🦅New🐋York 🗽

Got to watch a Cedar Waxwing courtship ritual yesterday! They’ll dance alongside a branch, while passing a berry or a flower back and forth like sick little freaks

I vividly recall the first time I saw a coyote in NYC. It was thrilling. Every subsequent encounter is just as special. This coyote has very distinctive markings, and I believe he is the alpha male of the pack. Seen earlier this spring in the Bronx. 💕
