HBD Pete Gogolak turns 83. Gogolak kicked for #NYGiants from 1966-1974 & remains NYG all time scoring leader. He also holds an important place in NFL history as the 1st player to jump from AFL (Buffalo) to NFL (NYG) in 1966 which helped start the NFL/AFL merger

Random #NYGiants thing of the day: An autographed photo of Brian Kelley. You had to feel for Kelley, he was picked by NYG in 14th round of 1973 draft, fought his way on the team & was a solid LB for 11 years. But he only had 1 winning season (1981) & missed out on the glory days

1956: BOTD "Big Red" Alex Webster who would have been 94 today. Webster scored 2 TDs in the 47-7 1956 Championship Game win over Bears at Yankee Stadium. He retired as #NYGiants career rushing leader after his 10 seasons & he coached NYG from 1969-1973

2022: HBD Devery Hamilton turns 27. #NYGiants signed Hamilton to their practice squad in 2021 & he made the team as a reserve lineman in 2022, here wearing #62 getting in some snaps late in the win over Chicago after Neal was injured

1981: HBD Larry Flowers turns 67. Drafted by Tampa Bay in 4th round of 1980 draft, he joined #NYGiants in 1981 & was an extra DB, but was a top special teams cover man through 1985. He got his 1st career NFL INT which came off Jim Zorn in NYG 32-0 win in Seattle

2011: HBD Rocky Bernard turns 46. Bernard signed w/ #NYGiants as a free agent in 2009 from the Seahawks & he played 4 years for NYG, becoming a big part of the DL rotation during the 2011 Super Bowl run, including this sack of Ryan in the Wild Card round

2016: HBD Michael Hunter turns 32. A deep cut, he joined #NYGiants in 2016 as an UDFA & he got in 2 games as a backup DB/special teamer & rejoined the team in 2017. Here getting in some action vs the Packers at Green Bay

2000: HBD Micheal Barrow turns 55. Barrow joined #NYGiants in 2000 & became a defensive leader in their Super Bowl run. Here his INT of Troy Aikman, the 5th one of the game Aikman threw to tie a Dallas record, set up Ron Dayne go ahead TD in 19-14 win

Random #NYGiants thing of the day: In 1997, Reeves tried a pre-draft end around to sign restricted FA Sehorn. It would send a 1st round pick to NYG & he traded down from #3 to #11 & got more picks. But the rules were Atlanta needed at least their original pick so his plan fizzled

1995: In honor of #WrestleMania weekend, remembering Lawrence ‘LT’ Taylor in WrestleMania XI taking on Bam Bam Bigelow. In his corner were other NFL players including big wrestling fan Carl Banks. LT came off the 2nd rope to nail Bam Bam & get the pin & angered Ted DiBiase

1981: HBD Rob Carpenter turns 70. One of the best trades in #NYGiants history, acquired for a 3rd rounder after Week 4 & in only 10 games rushed for 748 yards & 5 TDs bringing toughness & helped NYG finish 7-4 & make the playoffs for 1st time in 18 years Bobby Carpenter

1983: HBD Rob Carpenter. Bill Parcells was promoted from #NYGiants Defensive Coordinator to Head Coach after Ray Perkins left for Alabama. Carpenter followed up a long run to finish the drive with a TD. It was the 1st TD scored for future HOF Parcells as HC Bobby Carpenter
