The argument has never been that teaching was moved online - students are also living through the pandemic. The issue is being told things are ‘equivalent’ enough to merit usual assessment or cost when hours have been halved, access cut & independent work increased

There needs to be a conversation about the impact of lockdown lifting, end of uni, summer festivals etc on drug use. Illegal & legal drug use at festivals/one-off events is nuanced in its danger - even more so this year (inexperienced users, unknown dealers, mixing of substances)

The fact you can have 10,000 people in a stadium before you can have in-person lectures epitomises how poorly university students have been treated during the pandemic.

Just in time to pack up the rooms they haven’t been allowed to return to. This announcement just reiterates how overlooked students have been during the pandemic. Still no discussions around rent rebates or tuition fee refunds, but we can return after most exams are done 👍🏻

Sad thing is you’re not wrong. Tab article: “The Government cares more about the football than students” thetab.com/uk/2021/04/21/…

I really hope this year has shone enough light on rental conditions in general, but particularly for students. Hiked up prices for sub-par conditions because they know they cornered the market- we’ll only be there for a year & leave the next lot to complain about the same thing.

"We're currently planning for there to be a 2m+ rule indoors when it comes to September, you know, to be on the safe side" "What about halls?" "Oh, 100% occupancy, obvs" ***screams into void***

Three lads who were brilliant all summer had the courage to step up & take a pen when the stakes were high. They deserve support & backing not the vile racist abuse they’ve had since last night. If you abuse anyone on social media you’re not an England fan and we don’t want you.

We live in a world where girls and women are FINED for trying to cover up while playing sports, but also EXPELLED from schools if their shoulders are showing. Again, I dare you to ask why we’re angry.
