Great first day at the Scott Hartman Invite! Morgan Page ran 61.07 in the 400,Tristan Gould led four Bucs under 4:30 in the 1600,Olivia led three Bucs under 12:00 in the 3200 (and some had to be peeled off the track) and Noah Watson ran an explosive 11.25 in the 100.

We had a great first day at the County Championships! Rookie Noah Watson won the LJ, Garrett Tunks and Morgan Page repeated as HJ champs, Keaton Campbell won the discus and Wesley Luisi won the 3200m to lead a Buc sweep for the third year in a row.

We’re about to begin day two of the Battle of 109! Day one was a great day for the Bucs with Jamison Stenzel winning the 3200m, Keaton Campbell winning the discus, Noah Watson placing third in the LJ, and Olivia placing third in the 3200m.

Day 2 was full of highlights! Gold medals were won by Morgan Page (200m and 400m), Garrett Tunks (800m and 1600m), Avia Lane (100m), the 4x400m (Olivia Gould, Jean Thomas, Eliza Everett, and Morgan Page) and the 4x800m (Olivia Gould, Blanca Gomez, Zaely Tilt, and Eliza Everett).

We had a big night at the Great 8! Morgan Page placed third in the 400m in 58.17, sophomore Garrett Tunks won the 800m in 1:55 with fellow sophomore Wesley Luisi running 1:57 to place third. And Jamison Stenzel and Tristan Gould ran 9:31 to place second and third in the 3200m.

Our boys fired up the Sub 8 Express and took 11 seconds off the school record.

The road to the State Championships continues this afternoon. Keaton Campbell will compete in the discus and pole vault, and Noah Watson will compete in the long jump.

Qualifiers for next week's state track and field championships were announced today, and Sumner County is well represented. Nine of the county's 10 schools have at least one athlete going for gold, and a total of 43 athletes are headed to Murfreesboro. mainstreetmediatn.com/articles/beech…
