In Christ, I have something to live for. God gives me purpose. I’m so thankful.

I don’t want God to fit into my plans. I want my life to fit into God’s plan.

Are we chasing an outcome or a Person? We should be chasing Jesus Christ everyday and circumstances have a way of distracting us from that goal.

The direction of the gospel is not from man to God (I’m not saved by asking God to come into my life or begging God to do something for me). The direction is from God to man (I’m saved by receiving something he has already done for me by trusting in His finished work).

The gospel is not something you experience, it’s something Christ accomplished.

The gospel is not about a process, it’s about a person. It’s not a method, it’s a message. It’s not a feeling, it’s a fact. Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again on the third day. Do you believe in Him?

The gospel is not a work for God. It’s a work by God. It’s not something you achieve, it’s something you receive. The gospel is not something you “do” - it’s something that is “done.”

If your hope is not in this world, you can live with an out-of-this-world type of hope.

There is a danger in basing our spiritual health on actions apart from attitude. One emphasizes external conformity whereas the other comes from an internal transformation that only the Lord can provide.

We must resist legalism (performance for Christ) and embrace relationship (walking with Christ).
