What did you do this weekend? BCI participated in the San Antonio River Foundation Pollinator Tea Party and watched in awe as artist Audrya Flores created this bat sculpture completely out of bat-related plant parts (like agave leaves, palm fronds, and yucca flowers). This

Happy Cave Week! Just last week, BCI and the Autonomous University of Chihuahua celebrated the designation of the Santa Eulalia caverns as a Site of Importance for Conservation of Bats in Mexico, a huge step forward in protecting the cave's 7 million Mexican free-tailed bats. 🦇

Continuing National Forest Week as we look back at winter's hibernacula surveys in Gifford-Pinchot National Forest, Washington. Knowing where bats hibernate helps inform decisions leading to their protection. 🫶

Will rappel for bats. 🪢 Our SubT team is always diving into the depths to survey and install wildlife-friendly closures. Townsend's big-eared bats are their official mascot because they love these habitats. Learn more about how and why we do this work on our website under
