Likewise, pro-Palestinian messages were left at the Matthaei Garden in Ann Arbor, where hundreds of peonies were vandalized this weekend. Horrible and unacceptable. Either all life matters—or none of it does. detroitnews.com/story/news/loc…

They slaughtered 15 medics in cold blood. The world kept scrolling. Silence is complicity. theguardian.com/world/2025/jun…

The UM administration should be ashamed—but we know they can sink lower. Surprised that Ono didn’t showcase this in Florida to prove his ''credentials''. theguardian.com/us-news/2025/j…

Eid Mubarak. As we mark Eid al-Adha—a time of sacrifice and compassion—we think of Gaza, where Palestinians are being starved and bombed by Netanyahu’s government. May this be the last Eid spent under siege.

Imagine this was a Houthi attack on a ship of prominent activists in international waters that's carrying food & medicines to Israel How many heads would turn? How many condemnations would pour? How there would be nonstop media coverage of this criminal piracy?

UM claims it was just one rogue contractor. So he randomly chose to follow pro-Palestinian students on his own? Sure, totally believable. 🙄 publicaffairs.vpcomm.umich.edu/key-issues/jun…

This is an excellent example of the double standards of western media (and Guardian actually has had relatively better coverage for the last year or so).

This was Onion’s take on the Israeli attack, but then came German and French reaction and the margin between life and satire was suddenly very blurred. Here is Eldar Mamedov’s take on these Orwellian statements. responsiblestatecraft.org/europe-reactio…

If there is any doubt about the massively differing value western media puts on Israeli lives v Palestinian lives, consider this:

This not AI; it is a photo of starving Palestinians putting their lives in peril to get a bag of flour. This is a holocaust of mass killing, starvation, and destruction.

This was 5 hours ago. I don't know if people understand we're watching a world-historical crime play out - not just the worst this century or the worst in decades, but a blot on the human species that will be stand out in history for its sadism and evil.

Vowing to starve a population of 2 million people by blockading food, then starving them for months, then giving the facade of aid because you admit you're forced to by international opinion, then using aid centers daily to massacre civilians seeking food, is a new kind of evil.

It's funny — some college admins & academics use the same deflection when you point out how different groups are treated. In a UM faculty senate meeting, a colleague accused me of “minimizing antisemitism” for stating facts — and only retracted it after others pushed back.
