Just a quick update of the interior stonework I've been working on this week. It's hard to get a good photo while in progress, but I thought I'd share anyway!

Can we just do this once somewhere in Europe or America? I want to feel the way I felt when I saw this for the first time, but in real life.

Found this nice obelisk-shaped piece of quartz today. Might make a good feature stone for my interior stonework.

Weather forecast changed! For the better, and, knock on wood, that means I should be able finish the current section AND then start building the fireplace!

Three things. 1- I'm getting back to work on this tomorrow 2- I'm still sore as heck and not physically looking forward to this at all 3- Afterwards, I'll be happy that I did

This is a lovely tower. What's ironic is that when I started building my house that's half stone, I knew zero terms for anything. And I'm still learning, for now I know what to call a corbel!

Homemade is so much tastier, but also I've found in recent yrs that the store-bought bottles of pesto are often chock full of unnecessary ingredients that don't always agree with my digestive system. It's only 8 ingredients so give it a try!

I forgot to snap a pic tonight, but I finished this section today. Now for the opposite side. Hope to finish tomorrow or Monday. And then? Starting to build the fireplace!

It's sort of amazing how your whole body can hurt after a long day of physical heavy labor where every motion you do afterwards results in an ache. But yet the body immediately starts healing. Tomorrow I'll be back doing stonework, tired, but recovered. It's miraculous really.
