These ribs definitely stormed the Capitol on Jan 6th

Three police officers went to an *elementary* school in Tennessee & arrested four Black girls. One girl fell to her knees. Another threw up. Police handcuffed the youngest, an 8 yo with pigtails. Their supposed crime? Watching some boys fight — and not stopping them. (THREAD)

When the inability of public systems to serve Black & brown ppl is explained away with reductive stereotypes about poverty & "home lives" - it's an inherently racist act. It shifts accountability from the folks *producing* racial disparities to the ppl *experiencing* them. (1)

Why is this so hard to understand for so many people?
