New lab preprint alert! biorxiv.org/content/10.110… New manuscript lead by senior postdoc Aya Osman, PhD examining the effects of dietary polyphenols on the response to morphine utilizing behavioral, transcriptional, microbial, and targeted mechanistic assays. A quick thread:
If anyone is interested in antibodies and how the Wu lab Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is using them to create a publicly available database for validated antibodies and 2D/3D mouse atlas from antibodies that we screen check out my blog post on Addgene blog page: blog.addgene.org/corralling-and…
New preprint from the lab out today! tinyurl.com/56kcbnts This paper by Becca Hofford, Ph.D. in collaboration with Yale/NIDA Neuroproteomics Center (and others) identifies microbiome effects on fentanyl taking and seeking, and links these mechanism to brain proteomic shifts. A brief thread:
Great volunteering opportunity for anyone interested in virtually mentoring high school students in STEM this summer. Science Mentorship Institute is dedicated to providing free and open-sourced research mentorship. If interested APPLY through the QR code!
Such amazing work by amazing people 🤩 can’t wait to see what’s next Aya Osman, PhD
New lab paper alert! Work by Kelsey Lucerne, PhD and colleagues finds the cytokine CSF2 is increased by cocaine in a microbiome dependent manner. Increased CSF2 signaling leads to decreased cocaine preference and altered transcriptional response to cocaine. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39098439/
Exciting stuff! Definitely check out Sam Centanni's talk to hear what we are up to! #sfn2024 #centannilab
