Ubadah Sabbagh Th Ackerman lab is opening in July 2022 at WashU as part of the fabulous Center for Brain Immunology & Glia (brainimmunologygliacenter.wustl.edu). We study how glia cooperate to shape motor circuit plasticity, development, and disease in 🪰& 🐟. Hiring at all levels! DM if interested 😊

Had a fantastic first week in Cecilia Moens lab at Fred Hutch Cancer Center ! Such a beautiful and exciting environment to do science 😎 Big thanks to Adam Isabella for helping me hit the ground running.

My neuroblast-specific scRNAseq story with Chris Doe and Sen-Lin Lai is officially out today! Developmental Biology : sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Super excited to announce that I’ll be starting my lab Duke University this coming Summer! The ACR lab will study how the brain of an animal becomes active for the first time during development, and how this initial activity shapes brain function.

Our #SpotlightZebrafish this week is on Dr. Austin Seroka (Austin Seroka), a #postdoc with Cecilia Moens Fred Hutch Cancer Center. He uses zebrafish to study specification & development of the vagus nerve motor neurons and how these neurons choose and innervate organ targets. (1/2)

Our atlas of Drosophila glia is out now: journals.plos.org/plosbiology/ar… Grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to this fantastic work lead by Inês of the Fernandes lab! Dr Sarah D Ackerman Vilaiwan Fernandes Stephen Wilson
