Today was bittersweet. So happy to see these guys accomplish a season long goal and win a 3rd straight state title, but also a little emotional since it was the first state meet without my dad.

Helluva story for Gilbert XC. Its head coach, Aaron Thomas, lost his father, in September. Today, his Tigers won a third straight State Championship in Class 3A. This sport. ❤️ Local 5 News

While racing in these conditions is impressive, the more impressive feat is having a strong enough signal to livestream a race from Lakeside golf course.

Guys battled tough conditions (snow covered course, temps around 30 degrees & 15-20 mph winds) to finish 13 at the Nike Heartland Regional meet in Sioux Falls this afternoon.
