The system in Jammu is not conducive to budding entrepreneurs. It is discouraging but it is true. Very few people are serious about developing tourism in Jammu. Our leaders have put Kashmir in the list, prioritising Kashmir but ignoring the Jammu region. Harsh truth.

The decision was influenced by the British residency in Kashmir, which pushed for Urdu as a communication link between the Dogra rulers and the British. Urdu was chosen partly because it was not the mother tongue of any major linguistic group in J&K. Times have changed now!

Who told you that? It was the Britishers who pushed Urdu in J&K in 1889. It was their self interest. Britishers were uncomfortable in Persian that's why for the ease of communication they pushed the adoption of Urdu. It was the British State Council who influenced the decision.
