Ah, the daily ritual of checking my Duotrope pending submissions and obsessing over market rejection reports. Tastes like futility. 🤡

I almost never start writing until I have at least a vague sense of an ending in mind, but I woke up with a very weird idea and no clue where it's ultimately going. This should be a fun/harrowing experiment.

Absolutely STOKED my silly, not-at-all-inspired-by-actual-events (👀) tale of a serial plant murderer landed on the Highly Commended list for Egg+Frog Inspirathlon! And shoutout to judge Ingrid Jendrzejewski whose kind comments had my heart all warm and fuzzy. 🥰 💕✨

I have successfully procrastinated for two full days on this flash piece I need to write. Nothing left to do but write it. *pours coffee* ☕ *cracks knuckles* 👊 *sets timer* ⏳

The squeal I squealed when I saw my little flash piece on this longlist was at a pitch only dogs could hear. 🤣 I can't wait to get my hands on this anthology, congrats longlisters! 🥳🤗

Don't mind me, panic submitting to all the mags whose deadlines are closing because I absolutely did NOT realize it was the 30th. What is time?
