The Flying Boxcars dropped their 11th straight game tonight. That is the longest losing streak in the ALPB this season and, notably, a new franchise record. Now at 19-68, Hagerstown will take to Penn Medicine Park to begin a series against the Lancaster Stormers this week.

Hagerstown has 39 games remaining on their schedule this season. They are 8-31 over their last 39 games. If that pace were to continue, the Flying Boxcars would end their 2025 campaign at 27-99 — the second-worst record in ALPB history behind only the 2004 P.A. Road Warriors.

Four days after parting ways with Mike Kickham, the Flying Boxcars have released 2024 team MVP Welington Dotel. The 39-year-old outfielder held Hagerstown's franchise hits record before landing on the injured list in June. His 893 career hits rank seventh in ALPB history.

The Flying Boxcars’ 2-1 loss on Sunday dropped the club to 28-89 on the year, matching their loss total from last season. Another loss would make Hagerstown the fourth franchise in ALPB history to lose 90 games in a season and just the second to do so in a 126-game format.
