At Hospitable.com we are proud to be a transparent company. Pretty much everything, including our salaries, are shared in public. And then, there is also stuff like this.

Day 15 of building Tailstream. And I feel a bit stuck. No users yet. Which could mean a) lack of reach b) no pmf c) not selling it right. Potentially a combination of these. Makes it hard to decide what to build next. I do love the build, but I'd love some real users.

Started out with a strong opinion of not wanting to build a log viewer because I wanted to differentiate with real-time visualizations but I miss my logs, too 😅 Soooo I think I'll build a rudimentary log viewer in the app, at least. Will be able to do some cool stuff by

Integrated heyo.so by Nico on the Tailstream site and app. Took less than 5 minutes, working fine so far! I like the simplicity 👌

🪫 4% battery left but managed to ship some things tonight: - New version of the Tailstream agent with OAuth Device code flow - and the accompanying device code flow back-end Still no users, but once it happens, it will be smoooooth 💆‍♂️ tailstream.io/blog/simplifie… #buildinpublic

this took a bit more time than expected but I now have a Laravel driver for Tailstream The package registers itself as a terminable that automatically sends batched requests to the Tailstream back-end, optionally via a queue. github.com/tailstream-io/… #buildinpublic

Silently launched a log viewer yesterday, too. No video b/c I’m on mobile rn and but it’s pretty cool to see it connected to the visualization. You can click any entry and it will move the animation to that point in time. Also using cool stuff like Inertia.js infinite scroll

Here I am, struggling to find someone who wants to pay $29 for a real time log visualization app. Meanwhile in SF, this woman charges 30K to name a baby 🤷‍♂️ sfchronicle.com/sf/article/bab…

I’ve never really been into Reddit but forced myself to go there because “you must share stuff on Reddit for reach” but my god, it’s even more filled with engagement posts than X.
