Friday: wet and cold day on the cusp of spring, full of birdsong. Swept paths, gutters, cleared drains and spread shredded prunings. Planted a selection of windowsill raised plants including; cut-leaf Green Elder, Chinese Bramble, Golden Nettle and Lady's Mantle. #Gardening

Good Friday: lovely sunny afternoon, music from the bandstand and lots of people enjoying the circus. Swept, cleared, tidied, divided and mulched geraniums and woodrush, planted Omphalodes verna, a.k.a Blue-eyed-mary or creeping navelwort.. Happy Easter everyone. #Gardening

Friday: Swept, tidied, dead-headed fading daffodils, watered the new geraniums and decided to coppice one of the large Cotoneasters to free a self-sown cherry. Cut material shredded, transforming 30ft shrub into chippings ready to spread on the beds. #Gardening #CircularEconomy
