PWM signal generated using the TIMER1. In the end I also gave in to the temptation of playing with the tiny 10 cent RISC-V... #RISC_V #CH32V003 #MounRiver #Arduino

Kenbak-1 replica front panel ready. I used a PCB (FR4) to mount the keys, LEDs, and headers aligned with the motherboard connections. An aluminum printed circuit board was used to reproduce the machining of the front panel and its lettering. #KENBAK #retrocomputing

The KIM-1 circuit diagram. I have been restoring this image to print a vinyl poster to be hung in my studio. #6502 #MOS6502 #KIM1 #COMODORE #Retrocomputing

Impressive how LED efficiency has advanced, only 16mA to power 9-digit .28" display. This is part of an effort to reproduce the IMSAI 8048 Control Computer. #IMSAI8048 #D8748H #D8749H #INTEL #Retrocomputing #MCS48 #Microcontroller

When I finish copying the monitor listing (with the help of OCR), and adapt it to the cross-assembler, then I will surely find the rom somewhere hidden on the web. #IMSAI8048 #D8748H #D8749H #INTEL #Retrocomputing #MCS48 #Microcontroller

This little keyboard seems to work fine on 3.3V, draws around 2 milliamps and works with the Arduino library #PS2Kbd ... awesome! #ESPRESSIF #Arduino #ESP32

I put a warning on the Kenbak MEGA's solder side. It is a known issue that some Arduino shields have solder-side pins that can potentially short against the USB connector on the Arduino board. #Arduino #kenbakuino #Kenbak #ArduinoSimulator #retrocomputing #Kenbakmega

The Kenbak-1 Arduino UNO Shield could offer a second life to the countless Arduinos currently collecting dust on shelves, in drawers, and in forgotten boxes around the world... :-) #Arduino #kenbakuino #Kenbak #ArduinoSimulator #retrocomputing

"Kenbak-1 MEGA" is a shield for the #Arduino MEGA, running firmware based on Mark Wilson’s #Kenbakuino. It uses the MEGA’s abundant I/O pins instead of shift registers, reducing external components. #Kenbak #ArduinoSimulator #retrocomputing

I'm sending a 1 kHz signal using Amplitude Shift Keying (ASK) modulation in the 433 MHz frequency band, using a pin on the #ESP32 and a spring antenna. The signal has a limited range due to the use of the 13th harmonic of a 33.3 MHz at the pin. John Lee
