Opening the possibility to convert unwanted intrinsic noises in quantum devices into potentially useful quantum light (antibunched radiation). [Also may be the first suggestion to utilize the ubiquitous 1/f noise.] Fresh from PRA: doi.org/10.1103/PhysRe… IIT Hyderabad Center for Complex Quantum Systems

Here is a blog written on our recent work: blog.icts.res.in/blog/researche… It is about this paper: doi.org/10.1103/PhysRe… where we found that in small wires, due to surrounding environment, resistance can decrease with length. ICTS IIT Hyderabad IISER Pune

Best student course-feedback on "Advanced numerical methods for quantum many-body physics", which mainly focused on gate-based quantum dynamics: "As the name suggests the course is indeed advanced. Hope it has some application in real life; doubtful about it though."

These two took a long time! Fascinating how maths can connect two types of physics usually discussed in completely different settings: exceptional points and van-Hove singularities and fermionic transport: arxiv.org/abs/2408.10103 arxiv.org/abs/2407.10884

This paper highlights the difference between thermalization in Open Quantum Systems (OQS) and Isolated Quantum Systems (IQS). It matured like fine wine over the years! Two authors were postdocs when it started, and now about a year into faculty positions! arxiv.org/abs/2409.11932

A new tensor network based numerical technique to directly extract the completely positive trace preserving (CPTP) dynamical map of a quantum system strongly coupled to surrounding environment: arxiv.org/abs/2409.17051. CPTP maps are fundamental objects in quantum information.

I just learnt about arxiv++. Mind blown! It almost perfectly summarizes papers on arxiv. You just have open the abstract page on arxiv! This is super helpful! Am I late to the party? Is everyone already using it? arxivpp.com

The most motivating student feedback I received on my course on Open Quantum Systems : "Instructor's love and endless curiosity about the subject material is inspiring and contagious." I hope to remain contagious for as long as possible, till 'the system' breaks me.
