Due to inclement weather conditions, no PDSB buses will be running to PDSB schools today. In-person learners will switch to asynchronous learning for the day and log onto their Virtual Learning Environments (VLE), to retrieve assignments, etc.

I want to congratulate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on her nomination to the Supreme Court. Judge Jackson has already inspired young Black women like my daughters to set their sights higher, and her confirmation will help them believe they can be anything they want to be.

History in the making! They may try to criticize, obstruct and tear you down, but we WILL rise! This is a proud moment not just for Black women, but for us all. May we continue to shift the narrative so that the younger generation can see what’s possible!

When recruiting Black people for organizations where they have been historically excluded it’s important to not frame the ask as an opportunity for the Black person. It’s actually an opportunity for the org to experience ignored brilliance.
