3. An author cannot submit more than 25 papers. #CVPR2025 -> The very fact that they had to explicitly enforce this is mind blowing. Who are these authors anyways? - big orgs / companies? 🤔🤯 cvpr.thecvf.com/Conferences/20…

Why 25! It should be much lower like 5 or 6, for improved paper quality, reduced reviewer load, fairness and diversity so that a few prolific authors don't dominate the conference proceeding as well as project funding, and ethical balance to discourage paper mills. #CVPR2025

NeurIPS is now a computer vision conference, it seems. Time to bust it up, because I'm not interested in any of that work, and the top 10 authors are all getting 18+ papers in in areas I don't care about.

PhD then: “We validate our method on a large-scale dataset of hundreds of images.” PhD now: “We validate our method on 10 different modalities, 15 domains, 20 scenarios, 25 tasks, and 200 languages, each with millions of testing examples”.

As knowledge and resources expand, expectations are rising as well. The challenge is it sometimes become overwhelming!

Submitted all four reviews for #CVPR2026, totalling more 24K characters. For the first time in seven years of regularly reviewing for CV conferences, all four recommendations leaned towards rejection. I hope the ACs and authors find the feedback constructive and valuable!
