I started reading Harriet the Spy to the boys tonight at bedtime. That makes me happy. Harriet M. Welsch was my childhood inspiration. She’s the reason I started writing in a journal, and still do to this day.

A music festival, but every band has to have “beach” in their band name.

It’s nice to see people posting images of things bigger than our egos on social media for a change.

Ezra asked for a time machine. I told him I’ll get it for him in a couple years ago.

Good days come, and good days go. Bad days come, and bad days go. Sometimes both in the same day, and sometimes they stay.

Worst part of running

I’d pay for a version of social media that didn’t show me tik toks or reels or whatever else these dumb video time sucks are called anymore. Their quality have gone 📉 significantly, too, and when I find myself having wasted any of my precious time watching them I hate myself.

I love mushrooms. I love coffee. But I don’t think I could ever try mushroom coffee. 🤢

Hard not to succumb to the sunk-cost fallacy.

Discipline is more important than routine in my daily life. Change is constant, discipline accounts for that. Routine expects consistency within each day, but discipline is prepared for anything.

There’s a reaction these days to the “hustle” that our society seems to value to get ahead. We call it “self-care.” Healthy boundaries and rest and an unhurried life is self-care, but so is working hard. That’s good for us, too.

Finally watched FX’s The Bear and wish I had seen it sooner. Wow, what a ride. Looking forward to the next season for sure. I’m left a little raw after viewing it all within 24 hours, though.

I’m not sure you can be a kind person I’d you’re a resentful person. Chop that root of bitterness out, and you’ll do everyone a favor.
