In many industries there are strict rules concerning 'conflict of interest' business practices. Should the publishing industry be governed by similar rules? e.g. literary agents who offer writing courses (with the suggestion that they'll only represent u if u complete the course)

Ironic that agents are piling in on the author who wanted to participate in #DVpit because her characters are POC even though she is not. If POC are marginalised in the #WritingCommunity it's because YOU see their foreign sounding name on a submission and then discard their work
