Do you have a defensible space? Every year thousands of acres of land burn in Oregon. Having a good defensible space may just protect your home during one of these devastating fires. Take a look at firewise.com for some great information on preparing your home for fire

As a reminder their is currently a burn ban in effect. This means that absolutely no outside burning is allowed until further notice. Small warming fires and outside charcoal grills are permitted as long as safety precautions are taken.

The county wide burn ban has been lifted. If you must burn make sure that you call YCOM Fire line at (503) 472-3344 to determine if it is a burn day. As always we encourage you to use an abundance of caution when burning and make sure to have a hose and some sort of shovel nearby
