Today’s proceedings in #FRNversusMNK have come to a dramatic close. It began with the direct examination of a new prosecution witness before it turned to a trial-within-trial in which MAZI NNAMDI KANU testified. The case continues tomorrow.

UPDATE: Mazi Nnamdi Kanu SUCCEEDS on the trial-within-trial on grounds of absence of his Counsel during the taking of his statement in 2015. A similar exhibit previously admitted in evidence was expunged for the same reason. In plain terms, the exhibits were ruled inadmissible.

As today marks the remembrance of the braves & the innocents who fell in defense of freedom, I celebrate one of our HEROES who was just released from 5 years of detention through the efforts of my Law Firm. Gratitudes to my associate Counsel & all our people who made it happen.
