I look at that raised hand and I see America’s oldest ritual. The same hand that vaporised Hiroshima and Nagasaki, that burned Vietnam with napalm, that lied us into Iraq on fake WMDs and left whole cities as graves, that wasted two decades in Afghanistan and handed power back
