After adding a subscription model, Adobe's revenue has skyrocketed. A great motivation to stick to subscriptions when building something new🙂

Discovered a new black hat marketing hack🥷 Save to your bookmarks 😁 1) Create tons of Reddit accounts. 2) Increase the "trust" of those accounts by following/commenting for a few months. 3) Publish a post like "What is the best app for ..." 4) Use those accounts to mention

Tell me another business niche where you can spend two days to create a passive cash flow that keeps working for years. The revenue in this pic is from an app I created in one weekend a while ago. I haven't changed it since then, but it still generates some cash. This study

This is a great example of a small side hustle using organic traffic. BUT, it's impossible to create a reliable business model on organic traffic alone because it's 1) not scalable and 2) dependent on platform ranking algorithms, which are a black box. This is why I've been

Tools I use for successful app idea research. This is more than enough for indies. appstorespy.com - a cheap alternative to Sensor Tower. ads.google.com/intl/us/home/t… - Google Keyword Planner. Allows cautious assumptions about traffic volume. It's always better to compare

Example of my completely failed product. It generates revenue, but most customers only pay at onboarding, and almost no one pays inside the app. This means that buying ads for this app will never be profitable. Lesson learned, move on...

I really don't think a healthy product can use weekly plans. People either churn fast or forget about a subscription. Relying on peoples' forgetfulness is a scam.

I think most of us don't understand that the app business is a long-term game. A good payback period for ad investments is now considered to be 4-6 months. I guess it's still better than most offline businesses, but it sounds scary anyway. And it doesn't sound indie at all.

I often see people posting A/B test results like: "Yes, the confidence is still low, but I already see some results" The truth is, you cannot make any assumptions until you reach at least 90% confidence. Otherwise, you risk hurting your business. I'm not a professional data

Are two paywalls in a row really allowed by the guidelines? I can prove it works - they just sold me a lifetime plan😁

Uploading 5.5-inch screenshots is no longer required when publishing iPhone apps. One less headache, thanks to Apple. Sometimes they deliver more than just bugs in App Store Connect

Organic growth through short-form content is a goldmine for apps. I found this blueprint, and it's really easy to just copy. reddit.com/r/GrowthHackin…
