I am very saddened to hear the passing of Fikret Şenses. I feel very privileged to have been his student. A maestro in class, a principled researcher, a great mentor, one of the kindest and most caring professors I’ve ever met..

Even work can't give me the distraction I need from the disaster and misery back home. Sorry, but duties and responsibilities are on hold for now. The scars that have been left on millions will haunt us for generations.

Thinking of all the babies and children affected by this destruction..
