I'm looking to talk to people who struggle to maintain a healthy weight. Please get in touch if you're interested in talking about your weight changes, both upwards and downwards. I'll happily share insights from my forthcoming book about obesity science, Fatology.

Wow Thérèse Coffey this is so dangerous. Antibiotic resistance is one issue, but so is the collateral damage that antibiotics do to the microbiome - increasing the risk of obesity, allergies, autoimmunity, mental health problems, & neuropsychiatric conditions. Don't do this!

Every time you take antibiotics you increase YOUR OWN chance of become resistant Thérèse Coffey and you increase YOUR OWN risk of becoming infected again. Keep antibiotics for when absolutely necessary. #AntibioticResistance

I'm fantasising that The Food Programme 's episode with Carolyn Steel as Prime Minister of a country where food, health, soil, community, the environment and empathy were paramount was about to come true. #GeneralElection2022 #GeneralElectionNow

The gut-mind connection is growing increasingly well understood. We're starting to identify the specific bacteria that contributes to depression. This is such an optimistic development for mankind wsj.com/articles/gut-b…

Wow - antidepressants could be causing antibiotic resistance. With as much as 18% of the UK population on antidepressants, that's quite significant for both individuals and society. Liam Drew nature.com/articles/d4158…

Happy publication day to my lovely friend and talented author @TimSmedley via Picador Books! His new book, #TheLastDrop is out today, and by the sounds of his talk last night, it's a fascinating and urgent topic. Get your copy!

With a team of researchers, we did an inspiring expedition to the #Yanomami in Brazil. We were very warmly welcomed and were invited to their festivities. The Yanomami do not have body odour and have no inflammatory diseases. We want to know the link with their #microbiome.

Got allergies? Listen to me & @TheresaMacphail talking allergies & the microbiome on KCRW 's Life Examined. For hayfever, try probiotics with Lactobacillus acidophilus (NCFM) & Bifidobacterium lactis (BL-04). You might be able to ditch the antihistamines! shorturl.at/jnopH
