2/ Mortality rate may seem to be high, but it should be kept in mind that these patients already have high mortality rates even without IL-1 blockade, as we previously reported. journals.lww.com/transplantjour…

3/ We think this might be partially associated with extrarenal amyloid deposition, especially in the cardiovascular system.

4/ Despite its limitations, this is by far the largest study on use of anakinra and canakinumab in kidney transplant recipients with FMF.
