Yesterday our mayor Kim Snape attended the charity afternoon tea event at Astley Hall. This was hosted by Cllr Margaret France Mayoress of Chorley. Along with a brilliant tour around Astley Hall & the walled garden. Fantastic to meet some of the Friends of Astley Hall Chorley along the way.

Anaerobic Digester Application Update We are delighted to inform residents that Lancashire County Council Planning Committee today rejected the application for an anaerobic digester at land off Wigan. (1)

A big thank you to Cllr O’Donnell for speaking on behalf of Adlington Town Council along with Heath Charnock Parish Council and our County Councillor. Its likely that the applicant may appeal the decision but if we hear of this we will update with further information. (2)

The Adlington & District War Memorial is looking great ahead of the Wreath Laying ceremony on VE Day on Thursday 8th May. Everyone is welcome to the service which will begin at 1045 and last about 20 minutes.

This weekend has been my final weekend as Adlington Mayor. On Friday I was proud to present Inspire Youth Zone Adlington Youth Club with £2158.29 raised as my mayoral charity for the last year. Thank you to everyone that has supported, it will make a brilliant difference. ❤️ #Adlington

This morning I had the pleasure of attending the Civic Sunday for Cllr Gillian Wroe the new Mayor of Westhoughton. My final event has been attending the Lancashire VE Day Service at Blackburn Cathedral. An incredible service and turnout from communities across Lancashire.
