Year 2 of VO Atlanta is a wrap! I’m proud of myself for being more outgoing and meeting even more amazing people in the community! I’m looking forward to reviewing my notes, watching the video replays, and getting even better! 🎙️

As I go through my notes from Atlanta, a common thing I noticed is related to nerves. We shouldn’t ignore our nerves, but appreciate that they are there! We should also be thankful that our brains are doing their job at protecting us (even if they can be overprotective)!

Treat yourself as good as the person you love the most in the world; if someone started talking down to that person, you would stick up for them. They would do the same for us, so love your life!

Something that I've started playing around with since VO Atlanta is adding little secrets to my auditions. In voice-over, no one can see what you're doing to bring out your performances; the secrets we implement into our auditions can help us create something truly unique!

Something that's important in any creative field is finding a way to keep our work from becoming stale or uninspired. I remember Dee Bradley Baker mentioning how we can "refill our wells" by having other interests that prevent burnout. How do you refill your well? 🌊
