Really sad to hear about the death of Paul O’Grady — one of the friendliest and funniest people you could meet. Whenever I saw him at Wogan House he always had a story about something funny that had happened to him. A pioneer who’ll be really missed.

A particular joy of reading the news on Radio 2 was doing the summary in the middle of Len’s show — and being able to say at the end ‘BBC News at 3 minutes past six, our next at seven’. bbc.co.uk/news/entertain…

Absolutely shocked and saddened at the loss of Steve Wright. To anyone to worked in radio, he was radio. He worked incredibly hard to make his craft sound effortless. Getting to work with him was a privilege, as was being given a Wrighty nickname. A radio legend.
