The #SuperGala begins! Accra Blue vs DiDi Xi.

It’s back! The 5th edition of the Super League is coming to you this May! A celebration of unity, talent & local pride. Because this is where community football lives.

Let's tell you all about #TheSuperLeagueGh and how we started off of you and your teams MetgalaFT events, all the way back in 2021. In sponsors, not a lot of money, just big dreams and wanting to consistent play football. A thread:

The first #TheSuperLeagueGh season started in 2021, initially 6 teams but later down to 5. Playing mainly at Zulka, Dansoman every other Saturday. Teams would come from as far as Prampram to participate just for the love of the game - MetMadrid won the first title.

In our second we expanding to 8 teams, found sponsors who help us build the league, focused on player and team branding with Man of the Match & Monthly awards. We even got Billino to grace our End of year award. - Auxano won that season & A certain Mensah won the golden boot

After a successful 2nd season, we participated in the Akyireba, finishing 4th, notice any familiar names in our tournament team? 👀😌

Dawso Globals and Collectibles joined #TheSuperLeagueGh sponsor as we focused on promoting our brand and players. Knii Laryea led Caps Promotions to an unbeaten 3rd season, as we introduced our End of season stats, bringing data into our amateur league!

A bunch of twigs are harder to break than one; we teamed up with The Soccabet Twitter League to form the #TwitterChampionsLeague. The top 4 teams from both leagues competing for glory. 🤷‍♂️ And obviously, #TSLG came out victorious with another trophy for MetMadrid 🔥

It doesn't end there though! Aidies, the ONLY #TSLG team, entered into the #FTMet event Super Eight and came out victorious! A testament to how competitive #TheSuperLeagueGh is! 🏆

Those wins enabled us to brand The Super League Ghana as #TheLeagueofChampions - home of quality amateur football. We partnered with Prrr host Adjor🔱, local boots makers AceHonor and Joghurt. Royal OT became only the 2nd team to win #TSLG in their first season

For our last season we teamed up with Socaloca, to host #TSLG further embracing data collection, epanded our FA Team and witnessed not only MetMadrid win the league (again) but go UNBEATEN!

Our last event #SuperGala, a day KO tournament, was organised to provide an alternative to the usual #TheSuperLeagueGh. Although it didn't go as planned, it showed that we want to accelerate amateur football, and Platinum FC came out on top!
