Brilliant closing lecture by Sarah Knight! Starting from satirical statement that academics needed to adapt to the world outside, Sarah observed how clothing constituted an essential component of academic spectacle, order, and conformity. #AcaDramaConf

Clothes, Sarah argued, represented a means of performance that was just as important in the universities as rhetorical performance. In drama, she continued, ostentatious learning is often represented through characters wearing valuable pieces of clothing. #AcaDramaConf
