This week Priti Patel MP met with members of the Greek government. There are concerns that she plans to replicate the camps on the Aegean Islands in the UK. This is very bad news. A humane and compassionate approach is needed now #NoMoreCamps

The Government’s promise to resettle Afghan refugees goes nowhere near far or fast enough. It fails to match the scale and pace needed in response to the emergency developing in Afghanistan. Britain can and should do more now, with 100,000s having already fled their homes.

No matter how people are forced to make their journey to the UK, we must offer welcome and compassion to those fleeing Afghanistan. We need more safe routes for Afghan refugees now, including family reunion. #AfghanRefugeesWelcome
