Through the Usalama Ni Uaminifu Program, funded by GCERF, We facilitated a roundtable consultative meeting between senior security actors, county government leadership, and the representatives of the community actors.

With the County Commssioner and the County Secretary Dadhe Boru in attendance, the meeting aimed to enhance collaboration and coordination between the county government leadership H.E Abdi Ibrahim Guyo, EGH and the security actors.

This approach will help address community security needs, which is critical in enhancing trust between the community and security actors. RPPL reiterated its commitment to support such high-level engagements to review agreed upon action plans and commitments.NCTC Kenya

Through our long-time partners #WFD and the Civil Peace Service project, we were proud to support the hosting of the European Union In Kenya delegation . The meeting focused on emerging issues in Northern Kenya: climate change, pastoralism, resource-based conflicts, PCVE, and carbon trade.

European Union In Kenya showed strong interest in understanding our context and priorities. We shared milestones and challenges from the CPS project and highlighted how collaboration among partners has driven impact. A strong example of coordinated efforts addressing complex regional issues.

Through the "Usalama ni Uaminifu" program, supported by GCERF , RPPL in collaboration with ACDOKENYA , and Garissa University, launched the Garissa University Community Policing Initiative.

Garissa County Acting Commissioner Sabastian Okiring, noted the significant improvement in community-security trust from 30% to 72%, a testament to ongoing collaborative efforts.

The engagement led to the establishment of a structured framework for students, University staff, community members and security forces to work together proactively for campus and community safety.
