Conducted a Training Programme on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants with Special Emphasis on Agarwood for farmers and stakeholders from Assam aimed to promote awareness and capacity-building in the sustainable cultivation and utilization of agarwood and other medicinal plants.

Dr. P.L.N. Raju, Special Secretary, STCCD and Director, ASSAC, and Dr. Sonali Ghosh, IFS, CEO, AADB.graced the occasion as esteemed guests and addressed the participants, highlighting the economic and ecological importance of medicinal and aromatic plants.

A ‘Training Handbook on Agarwood’ was also released on this occasion. Approximately 142 farmers and stakeholders actively participated in the programme, making it a highly interactive and impactful session.

RFRI, Jorhat conducted Exposure Visit of 23 Farmers coming from Borbheta EDC of KNP on 30-05-2025, conducted under the aegis of Assam Agroforestry Development Board. Farmers were exposed to wide range of subjects during the short visit apart from visit to important facilities.

As a part of fortnight celebrations of WED-2025 at RFRI, Jorhat, R K Kalita, Head, Extension Division sensitized a group of Farmers coming from Borbheta EDC of KNP&TR on various aspects of LiFE Mission. He appealed to the Farmers to imbibe the good habits into their lives.
