Self-sufficiency takes courage. LIA focuses on economic empowerment as part of our wholistic model because we know the joy that's felt when people work to meet their needs. Not only are they able to stand, the value they create in a given economy helps their community as well.

I confirm: Even youth grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength.They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isa 40:30-31)

Another lesson I have learned: Your heart was designed to carry you through life, don't weigh it down carrying others or with non-issues. Prov 4:23 - Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Happy Jamhuri!
