I am (truly) honoured that privacy advocates medConfidential are pleased with our work. Their legitimate concerns helped inform our new model for secure analytics. I'll explain more about how we built the platform on thread in a moment.

This is, simultaneously, the largest COVID study the world has ever produced and (probably) the smallest COVID study our team will ever produce. From pipe dream to results tables in 5 weeks. A mad, mad ride and an unbelievable privilege to be part of. Lots more to come.

Among the many lessons here is the extraordinary power of small, mixed teams: developers, clinicians, academics (or all 3 in 1 like @dr_c_morton!) working closely together and learning from one another. There's no way this could have been achieved on these timescales otherwise.
