The Newport Beach Police Department has received numerous calls regarding an alert sent by a Los Angeles County agency about evacuations and ongoing fires. We want to reassure our community that there are currently no active fires in Newport Beach.

Cell phones across Orange County may have received an emergency alert for an evacuation warning. This is likely related to the #KennethFire in the West Hills area of Los Angeles and does not affect Orange County. There is no threat to Orange County.
