A team from 43 Cdo took part in the Scottish Islands Peaks Race; sailing 160 nautical miles and running a total distance of 60 miles with 11,500 ft of climbing to win the Pathfinder Trophy (for fastest Armed Forces team) for the second year running.

#OTD in 1944 the greatest armada ever to leave our shores delivered fire, fury and thousands of troops on to the beaches of Normandy. By the day’s end Hitler’s Atlantic Wall was punctured by the bravery, ingenuity and overwhelming firepower of Allied forces. #Dday #WW2
