Today, HQ UK Commando Force hosted Brigadier Terje Bruøygard, the Norwegian Commmmander of the North Brigade, at Stonehouse. He discussed upcoming exercises with Brigadier Duncan Forbes and the further opportunities to partner bilaterally and as members of The Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) and NATO.

Royal Marine Sergeant Tom Hughes, whose marksmanship has been honoured by His Majesty The King. Tom, who serves with 42 Commando Royal Marines, earned the medal as Champion Shot of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines. Read more: royalnavy.mod.uk/news-and-lates…

Last week, the Secretary of State for Defence, the Rt Hon Rt Hon Sir Grant Shapps MP, visited #Plymouth and the HMNB Devonport. He got a firsthand experience of the new Commando Raiding Craft (CRC) with 47 Commando (Raiding Group) Royal Marines and saw 42 Commando Royal Marines's Maritime Interdiction capability.
