This is a very unusual interpretation of the ballet Coppelia on BBC2 but it works with the jauntiness of the theme and music.

Part scifi, part CGI but entertainingly weird version of Coppelia on BBC Two - they should probs publicise it too!

Well, that was an absolutely gorgeous remake of Coppelia on BBC2. Michaela DePrince gorgeous as Swan, and I emitted a delighted “Darcey AND Irek!” early on.

Hats off to all behind the stunning version of #Coppelia I’ve just seen on #BBC2 - an absolutely brilliant slice of festive joy. Love to see more dance productions in the same style & already frantically texting godchildren who might enjoy it.

Just watched Coppélia on BBC2 Apparently a modernised version of a ballet, never watched ballet before, amazing to see a black lead ballet dancer, story translated to mum who enjoyed it & went by so quickly, some quirky moments, but blending real life & animation worked for us
