How do you spell personality? Ask Aidan Wright for the answer. Another insightful keynote maybe making us think about personality and psychopathology in a different way. #ecp21berlin

Personality folks who were at the wonderful Berlin #ecp21 and those couldn't make it this time: The ECP22 will be in Edinburgh, Scotland, July 2026. This is just before the annual #EdinburghFringe. And why not tour the Scottish Highlands before the meeting? See you there!

Last year, Killingsworth, Kahneman, and Mellers published a paper reporting that, for a group of unhappy people, money does not improve happiness. @dingding_peng, Sebastian E. Wenz, and I wrote separate critical comments of it, which were published today.

This paper was real fun accomplishing. We (Lena Roemer, Annette Upmeier, Anna Beniermann & Alexandra Moormann) looked at how interests develop during a museum visit and how this relates to person specific variables. Of interest for everyone teaching :) tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

Did you ever wonder if a situation can "cause" narcissistic states? Sophie Bauditz with Aidan Wright, Ursula Hess and me looked into this question. Spoiler: Yes, we do find evidence for cross effects... sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Qualitative work is hard - but important to better understand complex phenomena like faking in questionnaires. A big thanks to Jessica Röhner and Astrid Schütz for taking me along on this quest. See our faking model in this paper: doi.org/10.1111/ijsa.1…
