Today with RAF Benevolent Fund we commemorated 55,573 aviators from Royal Air Force Bomber Command who died defending our freedom in the Second World War. We remember them.

A big Happy 100th birthday to our very own Douglas Newham, LVO, DFC! Doug was a Halifax navigator/ Navigation leader at 10 Sqn during the War. A wonderful man.

Imagine the impact #BomberCommand made on Vale of York & Yorks Wolds in WWII - Today I drove past aerodromes at Carnaby, Full Sutton, Pocklington, Leconfield, Driffield, Lissett & wasn't on my way to see any of them. Had to visit the wonderful #158Sqn memorial at Lissett though.

A superb Yorkshire morning today for our 10 Sqn Association Remembrance Service at former #RAFMelbourne. Finally, we were able to gather together with good friends to remember those who served on the Squadron in WWII. 'Rem Acu Tangere'

Lovely gesture in memory of Mac

Yesterday, I had one of the proudest days of my career as we finally had the opportunity to celebrate the reformation of 19 Sqn and 20 Sqn. With Alnwick Castle as the backdrop for our parade, we put on an amazing spectacle for our VIPs and families. 👉 ow.ly/WBqQ50JzmxR

A RAF Atlas has been refuelled by a Voyager, over the South Atlantic for the 1st time. The Atlas was flown from RAF Brize Norton to Ascension before flying on to the Falklands. ✈️ ⛽️

We wish to convey our deepest sadness on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. A life lived in service.

We’re having an informal get together at International Bomber Command Centre on 2 October, noon-2.30pm, to see the new 10 Sqn stone in the ‘Ribbon of Remembrance’ pathway there. Hope to see you for a chat, a cup of tea and bite to eat in the cafe.
