Very excited our new open access paper is out in IJSTEM! The title says it all- we found that students who change career plans within STEM fields in college have lower motivation and certainty of persisting in their new careers.

🚨 New paper! Elise C. Allen and I look at students' motivational beliefs across a semester of stats. We compared individual students fluctuations to the course averages. Takeaways: students rarely resemble the class average. More within-person studies needed! tinyurl.com/v8s43mdv

The BLOOM Lab took a break from researching STEM motivation to research the best in-season apples to use for baking apple pies. This required rigorous in-person data collection and analyses via taste testing. Feeling grateful for this wonderful team 😊 Educational Psychology at University of Illinois
