I’m still me. They can take my title, my job, anything. They can’t take everything I’ve learned, as a python enthusiast, a basketball and tennis player, as a geoscientist, a geomodeller, a person and as a man.

And this is why working on a journal or paper is therapeutic to me.

Prisoners of the present due to inaccessible past and unknowing future. The present is the only tangible moment.

I was sitting in this hotel’s restaurant, minding my own business & sipping coffee after brunch. Then, a jazzy song by Laufey started playing, followed by a long lo-fi instrumental jazz track. I just sat there, phased out, staring into oblivion ‘til another song started playing.

Before I retire, I wanna buy that corner lot next to my parent’s house at Magelang. I’d probably turn down the house and just flatten it into a tennis/basketball court.

I did it all in 2019. BD, leading classes, doing projects, composing and presenting study cases. All by myself. I forever will remember that.
