On this National Day of #MissingPersons, we stand in solidarity with the 1615 missing persons from the #Kosovo conflict and with their families. #EULEX Deputy Head of Mission, Emily Rakhorst, joined today the Kosovo authorities in paying respect to the missing persons. 1/3

All missing persons’ families have the right to know the truth about the fate of their loved ones. EULEX is committed to work w/ Institute of Forensic Medicine & other institutions to find missing persons, identify unrevealed graves, conduct exhumation & identify the victims. 2/3

From 2009 until today, EULEX has actively participated in 800 field operations to locate #missingpersons, including 209 exhumations. The remains of 501 individuals have been identified, including 343 missing persons. 3/3

The #EULEX Formed Police Unit conducted last week a joint Medical Evacuation training exercise 🚑🚁with NATO Kosovo Force - KFOR Units. 🎯 To provide effective & safe medical evacuation of wounded or sick persons.
