Great to see our new Y3 children learning 'The Overdale Way' today in our first LKS2 assembly. We discussed how this should look at play and lunchtime to ensure we always strive to be Respectful, Resilient and Responsible members of our school community. 🌠

The start of the academic year is a great time to revisit and rehearse our school routines. We've been talking about the purpose and importance of routines and it has been wonderful to see our Year 5 & 6 children modelling these for LKS2. 🌠

Our wonderful Year 6 children have arrived safely at their residential. We look forward to hearing about their adventures as they begin their team building activities. ✨️

October is Black History Month - Today, OJS launched our celebration of this. Each class has been gifted a book and will study an inspirational black person from this. At the end of the month, all classes will present their work in an assembly. ✨️

Monday 10th October is World Mental Health Day. Children are invited to come to school on 10th dressed in YELLOW to stand out and show that how they feel matters. We invite all our families to join us in wearing yellow for the day! 💛 #helloyellow Overdale Infant School
